Bonita’s Honey Whipped Berry Ricotta Toast

Fresh blackberries, paired with honey whipped ricotta? Why sure!

. Driscoll berries and the feed feed, ran a competition to see what creatives can come up with using berries. The recipe had to be tasty and the photo even better.

It’s safe to say I nailed them both! I didn’t win that competition, but my recipe was a hit! And that my friends is a win, win!

You will have this whipped up in no time! Pun intended.

List Of Ingredients

Honey
  • Blackeberries
  • Piping bag
  • Fresh basil
  • I love challah bread it’s a very light, yet sturdy bread. It pairs well with the ricotta and berries so much. If you can’t find challah bread use any bread you like. No worries here.

    Let’s Make It Pretty

    First, with a 1/2 cup of ricotta, add 2 tablespoons of my delicious honey , or any honey you have. Next, whip together for three minutes until light and fluffy.

    Add ricotta mixture to a piping bag fitted with a large round Wilton tip. Feel free to spread the ricotta if you don’t have a piping bag. Toast your bread, pipe or spread ricotta, stud with blackberries, and garnish with basil and a drizzle of honey.

    Ingredients

    • 10 Blackberries washed

    • 1/2 cup of ricotta cheese

    • 2 tablespoons of honey

    • 1 slice of toasted challah or brioche bread, or any bread

    • Fresh basil, optional

    Directions

    • thoroughly was your black berries and dry them.
    • in a bowl, add two tablespoons of honey into the ricotta cheese. with a blender or whisk, whip together honey and ricotta until combined for 3 minutes.
    • optional, fill a piping bag fitted with a large round wilton tip. fill the bag with ricotta mixture.
    • Toast your bread, pipe round circles all over your toast until all parties are covered. Stud with blackberries and drizzle a little honey on top. or you can just spread the mixture onto your toast.
